Door Entry System

The club has introduced a new door entry system using your activated membership card.  It is a simple to use swipe system and will mean an increase in the level of security we are able to offer, and will be a great help with investigating any incidents.

A cardholder and lanyard is available to purchase from the office for a cost of £2. If you have not yet had your card activated please contact either the office or the Pro shop.

Communication to Club Membership

Using our new system we are now able to send out regular emails to members as a form of communication, recent examples include: postponement of a competition; new information regarding the course and notification of club events and functions.

We currently have over 400 members’ email addresses and they are greatly benefiting from this service. It is our intention to send out the 2011 subscription invoice by this method where possible.

So this system means that we can keep you up to date with all the latest news and of course there is a big saving to the club in terms of time, stationary and postage costs.

If you have not received any of the emails listed above, to make sure you don’t miss out again please provide us with your current email address, thanks, David (Club Secretary/Manager).

Protecting Our Future

During December 2010 you may have noticed that the central lines of Poplars on the left side of the 1st fairway and between the 1st and 9th fairways have been removed. This is part of our 5 year plan for the course.

Poplars have a limited life span and we need to plant a mixture of trees to protect the future definition of the holes on our course. New trees have now been planted replacing the removed poplars. The chosen trees are Hornbeam. These trees should be large enough to maintain hole definition when the remaining poplars are at the end of their life. This is estimated to be approx 25 years – good luck to all those who will see them then!!
