A party of ladies (plus 2 men), travelled to Ireland to support the European team in it’s quest to beat the Americans in the Solheim cup. The beautiful surroundings of Killeen Castle near Dublin, was the course were the challenge took place. Ireland threw some of its toughest weather at the golfers and the supporters.

 Obviously the party from Leamington and County made all the difference and the European team wrenched the cup from the grasp of the Americans, who had held it for the last 8 years.

On 1st September twenty Grey Nags Past Captains assembled for their annual competition to decide the winner of the John Mayo Trophy for 2011.

Its Amy again!

Well done to her after scoring 37 points she just pipped Joe Evans who got his first runner up spot with 36 points. Liam scored 36 points for best gross and all the result can be found on howdidido.com

Remember the Junior Club Championship is on Sunday 2pm tee off so just turn up before as usual. The event is a best gross prize but we will have a nett one to run alongside it.
There are plenty of order of merit points to be won and I think that the overall winner will be decided after the last comp of the year during October half term.
