Grey Nags v Ladies

First match for the Dale Trophy 2014

On 27th March the Grey Nags entertained the ladies in fairly cool and blustery conditions.

The match had an ending which was somewhat unexpected, as in previous matches the scores had been evenly distributed. On this occasion the Grey Nags retained the Dale Trophy, scoring 263 points to the Ladies 223 points, whereas the previous match in September 2013 had resulted in a tie. No doubt the Ladies will be aiming to exact revenge in the return fixture this September.

As is customary the 24 players returned to the Club House after the match for drinks and a carvery lunch – which was much enjoyed by all.

  • Gerry prepares  . . .
  • Captain Graham strikes the first ball
  • Captain Felicity sets the Ladies team in motion
  • Robin has to be restrained!
  • Captain Felicity relaxes in the Club House
  • The Dale Trophy is presented
