News From B Team Captain, Neil Elkerton

Starting in April and ending in September, the B Team play 21 fixtures; at the time of writing this report we are four months into the season.

To-date results are evenly balanced, out of 11 matches played, 5 have been won, 5 lost and 1 halved.

What has been very encouraging for our club is the enthusiasm shown by members to play for the team. Twenty – one members showed their interest in playing in each of first 4 fixtures and this keenness has carried on throughout the season.

We believe that the success of the B team, on and off the course, lies in the philosophy of our previous Captain, Arthur Walton, who left us with the phrase, Go out and do your best, but what ever the result – enjoy your self. And we do!

So, on behalf of our club, thank you Gentlemen for your support.

Over the years we have played a number of clubs who sport club team shirts, so in the interest of team spirit, a new development for this season has been the purchase of Leamington & County B Team logo shirts.

Once again we shall end the season with a B Team away day, this year at the Burford Golf Club on September 16th. If any player has not yet signed on for the day, please see the sheet on the team notice board.
