Trevor Wood conquered high winds last Sunday (22nd May) when he won the Gaydon Trophy which was presented to the Club back in 1963 by the Officers and Men of RAF Gaydon.
Trevor, who chairs the Club’s General Committee, displayed his recovery skill to good effect collecting 40 stableford points holding off challenges from Mark Hepburn 37, John Fennell 35, and John Reeder 35.
Mark Hepburn’s gross 76 won the Lockheed Rosebowl for the best gross score.
David Robinson, Barry Enock, Andrew Osborne, Toby Clowes, Jamie Goode, Ian Fleming, Sam Turner and Niall Potter all qualified for the Galloway Cup Knock-out singles competition by being the first home in the Griffin Bowl.
David Robinson (82-16-66) won the Bowl by 2 shots from Barry Enock (83-15-68) and Andrew Osborne (83-15-68). Jamie Goode took the scratch prize with 69 on the Par 72 course.
